1,000 site visits!

It’s official, The Belmont Open Space Initiative’s website has received over 1,000 site visits.  The outpouring interest and support within the last ten days has been incredible.  A BIG thank you to everyone who has helped to promote the initiative and spread the word.

Mission

The Belmont Open Space Initiative is an attempt to reclaim the vacant lots along Chicago’s Belmont Avenue between Ashland and Kedzie. It is our goal to restore the dilapidated plots into healthy natural urban environments accessible to the community.
